About me
Melody Dworak is a librarian at the Iowa City Public Library working in the departments of Information and Collection Services. She loves diving into local history research and selecting and cataloging the hottest new nonfiction. In her 10 years of service there, she has worked on Readers Advisory, project planning, digitization and online exhibits, committee work (most recently on workplace communication), catalog and web redesign--basically anything where staff are asked to raise their hands to volunteer.
Melody earned her bachelors degree in journalism and international relations, as well as her Masters of Library and Information Science, from the University of Iowa. She received a certificate in Project Management from ALA's Reference and User Services division in 2019. Most recently, she is an alumni of ILA's 2022 Leadership Institute with Maureen Sullivan.
